Barnes and Noble are climbing on the e-reader bandwagon. Gizmodo has details here. The key category killing feature is a dual display. Not sure if you want a black-and-white Kindle-style e-ink display or a backlit, color, iPhone style deal? Well, how about both in one? Yep–that’s about all you could want in a portable device.

So, to review, next year will feature a three-or four-way death match between display-oriented portable devices: the Apple Tablet, Microsoft Courier, the beast above, and whatever Amazon cares to throw at us. Next year, in other words, will be kind of awesome.
